Jaspers Berry Wedding | Shaani + Tom
It gives my great pleasure to show you this amazing Jaspers Berry wedding today on my blog! I admit that I adore this venue. It’s such a wonderfully easy place to shoot. The staff are welcoming, the grounds are beautiful. Everything is quite close and you don’t have to spend much time walking between, say, the ceremony and reception spots. If you’re considering Jaspers as your wedding venue, I can’t recommend it highly enough.
There was a time that I took every single wedding enquiry that came in to my inbox, and for which I was available. I just wanted to be out there shooting, and I really didn’t care where I was. If an enquiry came in for the middle of Sydney, which is a few hours from my place, it didn’t matter – I’d take it. In fact I really enjoy traveling to new places to shoot. What I’ve found over the years is that I can significantly reduce my own wedding-day stress levels by only accepting wedding bookings for venues that I’m interested in shooting at. And that’s how I ended up shooting this Jaspers Berry wedding. Ok, let me explain a bit more.
Why I prefer Jaspers Berry Wedding to Sydney weddings
For a Sydney CBD wedding, after driving 2 hours at the start of the day, I normally need to visit around five locations at least: bride prep, groom prep, a ceremony spot, at least one photo spot, then the reception. That’s five places I have to find parking, five extra drives I have to do once in the city, and five instances where I stress out majorly. In comparison, at this Jaspers Berry wedding, I drive around 45 minutes, parked my car, and didn’t even go near the car again until the end of the night.
I love you Sydney… but your weddings are just not for me. My heart is in the South Coast and Southern Highlands 🙂
And why I loved this Jaspers Berry wedding
Shaani and Tom are two of the loveliest, smiley-est people I’ve ever met. Their Jaspers Berry wedding was a relaxed, fun-filled day – more like a party, than a wedding. Jaspers is a wonderful venue with lots of hidden spots for photos; a gorgeous ceremony location, and a wonderful big old hall with fat wooden floorboards for your reception. You can get ready in the rooms at the property (they even have a salon for hair + makeup!), and all your guests mingle and eat canapés as you’re having photos.
Shaani and Tom’s Jaspers Berry wedding
Shaani and Tom both got ready on site at Jaspers. Their ceremony was on site too, in front of Jaspers’ natural arbor. We took all our photos on site, then we walked across to the Jaspers ballroom for a night of great food, great drinks and partying.
If you’re planning a Jaspers Berry wedding and are looking for a photographer, I’d love to hear from you 🙂  If you’re planning a wedding somewhere on the South Coast, you might also want to check out this Mercure Gerringong wedding, or this Terrara House wedding.
