Being based in the Southern Highlands doesn’t mean I don’t love a trip down to the coast every now and again for a wedding – hey, it’s generally much warmer 🙂 So a month or so ago I drove down Macquarie Pass to shoot this lovely Mercure Gerringong wedding. I’d only had the chance to photographer one Mercure Gerringong wedding before – around four years ago – and I was stoked to be back.
The perfect couple for a Mercure Gerringong wedding
It’s true that as a wedding photographer, the vibe that I portray on my website and my social media leads to me being able to work with couples that are just as relaxed as I am. Sarah and Brandon are further evidence of this. From the moment we met a year or so before the wedding I was pretty impressed with how chill they were; just a lovely young couple who wanted to be together, forever. No complications, no agendas, that’s about it. The kind of couple that are a dream to hang out with and, to be honest, really easy to photograph.
I arrived to this Mercure Gerringong wedding on a lovely late-autumn afternoon: clear skies, cool temps (but not too cold), a slight breeze. As the afternoon progressed the sun dropped in the sky and the light was just wonderful. I absolutely loved the ceremony location at this Mercure Gerringong wedding as the sun was in the perfect spot for my photos – scroll down, you’ll see what I mean.
