Berry Homestead Wedding
It was an absolute joy to be invited along to photographer this Berry Homestead wedding!
The Ceremony Spot for this Berry Homestead Wedding
A few months before their wedding, I met Katie and Dom at their wedding venue for a walk around. In particular, they wanted some advice as to where they should have their ceremony. The Berry Homestead is amazing for many reasons, one of which is that they allow you to choose from a few different locations to hold your ceremony. I was thinking ahead to the day and was imagining a hot, sunny and bright day (their wedding was in December!). My top recommendation to them was that they have the ceremony in some shade. The nicest shade around was in fact on the driveway, so that’s where they decided to have their ceremony!
(Turns out that it was beautifully cloudy the entire day so the shade wasn’t really needed – but the location was still amazing)
An amazing relaxed afternoon
I had an amazing afternoon with Katie and Dom at their Berry Homestead wedding. We spent 20 mins or so shooting some portraits around the venue. The rest of the time they spent hanging with their guests. We then ate a spectacular meal and everyone hit the dance floor.
You can check out the Berry Homestead here. I absolutely adored Katie’s dress which was from Mrs Fray in Canberra. Meg Connell was the celebrant; it was my first time working with her, and hopefully not my last – she was great! Katie’s hair was by Blow Bar in Berry, and her makeup was by the absolute legends at Bridal Glow Co. Our delicious meals were by Rabbit and Co.
Thanks Katie and Dom for having me along to document your wedding!
