Hillview Heritage Hotel Wedding | Nicola + Luke
I’m typing this while sitting on a train in Norway. That’s right, Norway – and my train has wifi. I’m pretty stoked to be over here for a few months to shoot 6 weddings in various parts of Europe. I’ve promised myself to keep on top of editing and blogging while I’m traveling. So, here is Nicola and Luke’s Hillview Heritage Hotel wedding.
Why I loved this Hillview Heritage Hotel wedding
This wedding was pretty fun – I’ll let you figure that out for yourself through my images below, but here are a few notable points:
- Nicola and Luke’s dog came along as an honorary member of the bridal party
- the ceremony began 40 mins late to to a bus timing mixup
- we took portraits in front of a vintage tractor
- I witnessed possibly the most heaving dance-floor i’ve ever seen
This was the first Hillview Heritage Hotel wedding I’ve photographed. The property is quite amazing; a huge sprawling estate of [I’m not sure exactly how many] many acres, with a gorgeous old building at the centre. There are a few rooms for you to stay at, or have hair / makeup done. There are valley, huge old trees, mountain ridges, a fluffy kitty, some sculptures, and various old sheds and stables in varying states of amazing textured age for photos.
My favourite part of this Hillview Heritage Hotel wedding was watching as Luke and Frankie (the dog) both watched together as Nicola came down the aisle x
