2018 – A Summary

2018 was my 8th year of shooting weddings full time in the Southern Highlands. It was also my busiest and craziest year yet, with a total of 78 weddings over the last 12 months. I continue to be blown away that this many couples are willing to trust me with documenting what is no doubt one of the most special days of their lives.

The year has also been a year of emotional and professional growth for me. I’ve tried to set frequent challenges for myself; some i’ve conquered, and others i’ve failed at, and i’m totally ok with that.

In April I moved to a completely new camera system, giving me a faster and more reliable way to take photos at weddings. I had a small skin cancer scare (a wedding photographer spends a LOT of time in the sun!), which then turned out to be nothing at all, but as a result I’ve sworn to wear a hat to every single outdoor wedding from now on. I’ve also decided to cap the number of weddings I do per year from this point on to 60 (you’re right, 78 is too many haha). This means I’m pretty much booked out for 2019, so if you’re thinking of asking me to be a part of your wedding, please get in touch ASAP.

2019 is shaping up to be an incredible adventure. Michelle and I will be spending 5 months living in the UK.  So far I have around 12 weddings booked throughout Europe for that period (including Wales, Denmark, Italy and Ireland) plus a bunch of wonderful weddings back home.

So, here are some of my favourite images from 2018. Merry Christmas 🙂
