My last Eling Forest wedding was quite some time ago – more than 3 years; so I was pretty stoked to be back here for Sheung-Yi and Tim’s celebration.
I think I might just go into this forest (see photos below) and build a little log cabin to live in, away from the world. I’d sit by an open fireplace and my beard would grow long and bushy.
I loved this Eling Forest wedding; here’s a bit more info
Sheung-Yi and Tim would be my first guests. Their wedding at Eling Forest Winery in Berrima was perfection. I’m pretty proud of this one; I went on a long scouting mission a few days before to find some awesome location spots that I’d never shot at before. I came across this epic pine forest; the kind of place that you expect to see in North America. Long rows of pines, laid out beautifully, just begging to be photographed.
I very much enjoyed the mingling of cultures during this day: a tea ceremony immediately after a normal western ceremony. I also loved that Sheung-Yi and Tim’s dog was with them for much of the day; he’s part of the family too.
A few other things about this Eling Forest wedding
If you’re planning an Eling Forest wedding, or a wedding anywhere in the Highlands, I’d love to hear from you! From here why not have a look at this Centennial Vineyards Bowral wedding which is one of my favourites. Or you could check this Burrawang School of Arts wedding out.
