Montrose House Wedding Sutton Forest
The first Montrose House wedding I ever photographed was back in 2014. Back then, the venue was a berry farm under different owners. I remember walking around marvelling at how amazing it was. Then for many, many years, I didn’t get to go back. The venue changed hands, rebranded, and then finally in late 2024, I had the chance to return for another wedding at Montrose House. And what an incredible wedding it was!
A magical Montrose House wedding
My afternoon began in Bundanoon where Courtney was getting ready at a beautiful collage. In fact this cottage is owned by Montrose so if you have a Montrose House wedding, you can get ready at the cottage below, which is pretty cool. Adam also got ready in Bundanoon in a separate location. When they were both ready we all made our way over to Montrose House for the wedding ceremony. This ceremony spot is legit incredible. It’s right in amongst the trees. It feels like some kind of enchanted forest. There was plenty of room for everyone but it all still felt lovely and intimate.
After the ceremony, we ate canapés on the lawn, while I marvelled at the beautiful overcast skies (perfect for photos). I could tell all the guests were having such a great time, eating delicious food and soaking up the amazing atmosphere at the venue.
Eventually Courtney, Adam and I spent half an hour strolling the grounds, taking some photos. We climbed on trees, played chess (there’s a giant chess board), and belly laughed the entire time. Court and Adam, thank you SOO much for having me along to document your wedding day – I loved every minute of it.
