I GUESS, that what I want to tell you about Priya and Mat’s Grounds of Alexandria wedding is quite simple: it was easy. I’m sitting here thinking back to the day, how it ran, how I felt with these two, their families and their guests; the timing on the day, the venue, etc. And that’s what I keep coming back to: it was just, well, easy.
A great Grounds of Alexandria wedding
I’m not in any way meaning referring to my skills or abilities here. I’m referring to all the other aspects that make up a wedding day. When I was at Priya’s house as she was getting ready, her Mum fed me the most delicious Indian sweets, and then insisted I take some home with me. I played with her gorgeous dog, who then got annoyed with me when I wouldn’t play any more (photos below to prove this).
There was no bad traffic; Mat’s hotel room had beautiful white walls (a photographer’s dream). I found parking easily at the Grounds of Alexandria. I worked with the wonderful Robyn Pattison, celebrant extraordinaire, who really makes my job super easy. And then music was by my mate Nick at We Play Records, with whom I went to university and studied law in a past life. And no Grounds of Alexandria wedding would be complete without Mr Kevin Bacon the pig 🙂
As the night moved on, and I watched Priya and Mat laugh and cry with their family and friends, I felt very happy to be along for the ride.
