This Bowral wedding was my first back in Australia after 3 months in Europe. Yep, I flew home, had 1 day to sleep and rest, then had the fortune of spending the day with Catherine, Adam and their families.. which, it so happens, are also my families. Adam is my brother’s wife’s brother… I guess that kinda makes him my brother in law, yeah? Or something like that 🙂
A lovely wedding – or, why I love being a Bowral Wedding Photographer
Catherine grew up on this pretty amazing farm in Bundanoon, in the Southern Highlands around 20 minutes from Bowral. When she was a kid, running around the property, I’m quite sure she never expected to one day have her own wedding on that very farm. So, the property where this Bowral wedding was held is super significant to Catherine and her family.
These two lovely humans have a lovely way with each other; it was a joy to document their day watch them interact with each other, and with their friends and families. Their lovely lab Molly came along too (you’ll see quite a few shots of her below). We also met some horses late in the afternoon, one of which wasn’t entirely friendly and kinda chased us out of the paddock…
At the very end of the night we had a bunch of left-over confetti that we hadn’t thrown yet. So, we took it out into the paddock, I set up a bit of off-camera flash, and at the very end of this blog post you’ll see the result. 😀 Oh, and during the reception Michelle took a photo of my bearded mug; see if you can spot it!
