A newly married couple spray champagne at their Bendooley Estate Stables wedding

Bendooley Estate Stables Wedding

Hey everyone! I’m stoked to share this wonderful Bendooley Estate Stables wedding with you today.

On a warm January day in 2021, I started out at Amelia’s parents’ place in Bowral to shoot her wedding ready. I was welcomed by a wonderfully friendly bridal party who were a joy to shoot from the word go. My friend Ash Quinn was there doing makeup – it’s always so nice to work with wedding vendors who I know well and with who I have a great working relationship. Courtney Hurst was also there doing hair – her work is wonderful.

I then made my way to shoot Nathan + the boys getting ready. There was a cute dog there – this made me very happy.

The Stables at Bendooley was my next stop. I just adore this venue; it’s so easy to shoot at, the staff are so lovely, and the food is incredible. Pretty much any time of the year, the grounds are amazing for photos. I really love how the ceremony spot is in a nice shaded position. Nina de Borde, also a good industry friend of mine, was the celebrant.

The two best parts of the day for me were as follows: first, Amelia + Nathan’s dog, who attended the ceremony, decided that he wanted to be part of the signing of the marriage register. Second, I witnessed an epic champagne pop during portraits. Scroll down to see both of these!

Amelia + Nathan, thanks so much for having me along to document your wedding day!
